Hydrangeas
6" x 18" Colored Pencil on Pastelbord.This is the top of a triptych, the previous post being the middle. I will work on something else before I complete the bottom panel as I am out of 6"x 18" boards. I'm also ready for a break from all those petals. I do love portraying the color variations of hydrangeas, though. The idea with these pieces is that they can work together or individually, and can hang vertically or horizontally. They could also be hung in a grouping with "Hydrangeas in Blue".

Featherweight

I borrowed my sister's Singer Featherweight for this painting. These great little machines weigh only about 11 pounds and fold up into compact carrying case. To my delight, the case also held some vintage notions and accessories, some of which I incorporated into the composition.
